Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo In 1978, the Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo was developed for the DRM (German Racing Championship) by West German racing team Zakspeed. This car featured an extremely low-profile wide body born of intensive wind tunnel testing and weighed a mere 790kg. The car was paired with a 1,427cc inline-4 DOHC turbo engine capable of 375hp. This car achieved victory for the first time at the 11th race of the DRM in Nürburgring in October 1978; the next year it got the second position at the first race of the DRM and victory at the second race.
