Worm Killer (laterWorm Burner ). The endplates were a later addition to the design. The airplane exhibited less wing rock near stall and allowed a higher nose attitude in tight turns. The early endplates were made from both 1/8″ balsa and 1/16″ plywood; many shapes were considered, but the first version worked so well it was never changed.
